Web Development Courses

HTML Introduction

This course assumes nothing more than a knowledge of what the web is and the kind of things you would like to achieve with it. HTML is the fundamental language of the web, so this course begins at the beginning but by the end of its one day you will be producing good looking pages and understanding the concepts.

Developing Web Applications Using C# and ASP.Net

ASP.Net is Microsoft's key technology for developing web applications. Central to ASP.Net is the concept of code-behind where developers can treat a page as a collection of .Net objects. This course teaches all you need to develop sophisticated web applications using C#, the .Net Framework and database access as well as ASP.Net. It also touches on related technologies such as web services and the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). If you already have experience in your preferred .Net language then a shorter course can be arranged.

Creating Web Pages using HTML and CSS

This two-day course starts by covering the same ground as our HTML Introduction day but also covers the essential subject of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Modern web pages use HTML for the content but CSS for its appearance, so that the two concepts are separated and the appearance of your site can be easily changed without modifying the HTML content. The course also includes an in-depth coverage of tables, introduces forms and covers the 'correct' use of HTML to make your pages accessible and visible to search engines.
